Hello,
Thanks for trusting healthcaramgic!
The symptoms are suggestive of acute sinusitis( inflammation of
paranasal sinuses),No need to worry as it is highly curable with timely treatment.
I suggest you to consult a general practitioner and get the following things done:-
(1)-
Acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain.
(2)-You have to start on a short course of antibiotics like
amoxicillin or
levofloxacin for minimum of five days.
(3)-Antihistamines like cetrezine or levocetrezine would provide relief from tthe symptoms.
(4)-Nasal decongestants like
xylometazoline in case of blocked nostrils.
(5)-Do steam inhalation twice a day for at least 20 minutes.
If symptoms persist despite all these, you have to consult an ENT physician and detailed evaluation may be needed. In that case a CT scan of your sinuses may be needed.
Look for caries teeth which can cause recurrent attacks of sinusitis.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
Dr.Shinas
